Therese DiMuzio, present Secretary of The Pembroke Chamber of Commerce, is also a Disc Jockey, Entertainer, and Musician. She currently performs with the Bill and Bo Winiker Swing Orchestras, Copley Orchestras in Boston MA, and numerous other bands. An independent DJ, Drummer, Percussionist, and Vocalist, she operates her own business as the “New England Beat.”
For many years Miss DiMuzio has worked in the music industry as a Union Officer and Business Agent for the Boston Musicians’ Association Local 9-535, (American Federation of Musicians), promoted and organized concerts for “The Music Performance Trust Fund Association” in New York, worked in Artist Relations, Sales, and selection for the Avedis Zildjian Cymbal Corporation.
She has traveled throughout the United States and Canada performing at many Concert Venues, Major Theaters, Political, and Corporate events. She has toured and recorded with Grammy award winner Bill Harley.
Most recently Miss DiMuzio took part in a collaborative effort to publish “Tales from the Cymbal Bag”, a book about her father’s life, Lennie DiMuzio, and his memoirs working for fifty years in the Music Industry.
Miss DiMuzio grew up in Massachusetts, and has raised her two musical daughters Nicole and Gillian in Duxbury, MA.
She has been involved with the Duxbury Music Promoters for 5 years, a member of the Boston Musician’s Association for over 25 years, also active in the South Shore Business Leaders group, South Shore Business Roundtable, Cops for Kids with Cancer, Duxbury Camera Club, and is Chaplin of the Duxbury American Legion Post 223 Woman’s Auxiliary.
